About the Pilot

"Pokey! the Unicorn Magical Girl" is about how the dull and boring life of Asbel, an angsty high school student, is forever changed when one day he meets Pokey, an interstellar magical girl who's crash landed on Earth in search for the ultimate evil.The comic is a 40+ page proof-of-concept for an eventual long-term comic series.

About the Project

"Pokey! the Unicorn Magical Girl" will be a sci-fi mahou shoujo story about a girl who's never known true humanity crossing paths with a guy who's always believed that life beyond earth must be so much better. Together they challenge each other's glamorized ideas of their respective worlds and grow to be friends as they face a variety of troubles. From constant villains of the week, searching for the "Ultimate Evil", a fallen space prince that hides in the stars, etc.This is the biggest passion project from all of my planned comics. It's a monument built of everything I enjoy to consume and enjoy to create, from cutesy stuff like Care Bears and My Little Pony to horror stuff like Perfect Blue and The Lawnmower Man. It will be under development for quite a while, especially as it currently will be taking the backseat in favor of shorter comics I have planned.If I can help it, when the day does come for it to see the light of day in its truest glory, I'll have a team to help me create the comic to be the best it can be.

He has only one goal- to stop and destroy IMWA and it's operations.Having overcome many struggles and traumas in his youth, he struggles with a misguided burning hatred and a hardened heart. It's no act, but it's not who he truly is.

Charming and charismatic to the bone, even without her charm magic. As a shapeshifter, she's always altering her appearance to match beauty trends and even has several looks set aside for special occasions. She can't stand it when the attention isn't on her and can be quite competitive with others as a result.Because of her upbringing, she absolutely cannot stand her true form and would rather die before revealing it to someone.

Unassuming, unnerving, and observant. Unlike her fellow magical girls, she's rather frigid and prefers to work alone. Due the nature of her magic, she cannot make eye contact with others without harming them,
so she keeps to herself.She longs for the day she can join the rest of her kind on one of the many moons in her galaxy. Being so close yet so far feels like torture.
